About Us
Established in 2014, Billankra Company Limited is an environmentally focused Ghanaian company based in Accra.
Our work is built around a simple principle:
Waste should not be the end of a product’s life. It can become the beginning of something valuable.
Through our recycling operations, we recover discarded materials, process them, and return them to productive use. Our plastic recycling business converts post-consumer plastic waste into recycled plastic pellets that can be used as raw materials in the manufacturing of plastic products.
We are also involved in electronic waste recycling and agricultural commodity supply, creating opportunities across multiple areas of Ghana’s growing circular and productive economy.
We patner Epa for schools introduction into recycling and segregation of waste within the Amansaman cluster of schools
WHY RECYCLING MATTERS
Plastic waste presents an environmental challenge, but effective recycling also presents a significant economic opportunity.
Our operations contribute to:
- Reducing plastic waste sent to landfill.
- Recovering valuable materials.
- Supporting local manufacturers.
- Creating employment opportunities.
- Supporting waste collection networks.
- Promoting local value addition.
- Strengthening Ghana’s circular economy.
- Encouraging sustainable production and consumption.
We believe environmental responsibility and economic development can work together.
OUR EXPANSION VISION
From Recycling to Sustainable Manufacturing
Our ambition goes beyond recycling plastic waste.
Billankra is working towards establishing an integrated recycling and manufacturing operation where recovered plastic materials can be transformed into finished products locally.
Our planned expansion into polyethylene bag manufacturing will enable us to capture more value within Ghana, increase production, create new jobs, and support local supply chains.
The long-term vision is to build a scalable Ghanaian recycling and manufacturing business capable of serving both domestic and regional markets.
